⛩️ Jinring Explanation｜Kannon Buddha

The Kuan Yin Buddha statue enshrined at Jin Ring originates from the Zhonglinshan Guan Yin Temple in Linqu District, New Taipei City. Its ancestral temple has a long history, tracing its lineage back to the Eighteen Hands Guan Yin Bodhisattva from the Longshan Temple in Jinjiang, Quanzhou. Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is known as "the True Law Enlightening Buddha," and he attained enlightenment long ago in the previous universe. He sacrificed his life to return to the Bodhisattva status and spread the Dharma to all sentient beings, unwilling to see the suffering of the living beings in the Sravaka world.

The Buddha once said: "The practice of compassion is to accept all those who wander." The bodhisattva chants with a single heart, listens to their sounds, navigates with compassion, and takes in all the confusion and uncertainty of sentient beings. He leads them to the shore of liberation.

The Prajna Prajna Sutra teaches wisdom: "One who should attain enlightenment should manifest their own body and speak accordingly." The bodhisattva manifests thirty-three bodies in confusion, guiding them in times of confusion and protecting them in times of injury. This is the practical application of the "compassion" that Avalokiteshvara has left for the world: letting go of preconceptions, listening with tolerance, and communicating in words that the other can understand. The light remains unchanged, whether the palace is complete or not; the golden ring is guided by this silent and unwavering companionship, gently guiding the ten directions of good faith.
