Golden Ring Goddess Qiaoyue Bestows Blessings ✨ Birthday Celebration Notice

On the auspicious and joyous occasion of the seventh day of the seventh lunar month in the Bingwu year, we respectfully celebrate the sacred birthday of the Heavenly Maid, the Seven Star Goddesses.
On this auspicious birthday of the temple deity, the main shrine specially bestows blessings and kindles the "Seven-Star Matchmaking Birthday Prayer Lantern" for all sentient beings, praying for divine majesty, supreme fortune, and boundless wisdom.

⛩️ Temple Explication | The Descent of the Celestial Maidens for the Qilong Ritual: The Seven Stars refer to the Big Dipper, located north of the Supreme Palace enclosure (Taimei). Folklore tells us that the Seven Stars are the seven weaver maiden sisters of heaven, whose exceptional weaving skills create beautiful rosy clouds. Because the youngest sister, Yaoguang, fell in love with a mortal cowherd and bore him children, the Queen Mother of the West permitted them to meet once a year on the Magpie Bridge during the Qixi Festival. The other six sisters silently protect the mortal children and all destined bonds under heaven.

The Qiniangniang enshrined in this temple is a spirit branch-off from Tainan's Fucheng Kailong 宮. Not only does she preserve the custom of celebrating the coming-of-age at sixteen to protect children and ensure they grow up safe and healthy, but she also governs interpersonal relationships, romance, and the handicraft and design industries!

The seven goddesses each have their own specific duties, providing all-around protection for believers:
DubheGrand Empress is exclusively in charge of "smoothness"—turning luck around for peace of mind, and ensuring all endeavors prosper.
Dixuan: Er Niangniang specializes in "family" — bringing family members together, as harmony in the family leads to prosperity in all things.
JijiThird Madam specializes in "soul-retrieval" — pacifying the spirit, subduing the household, and dispelling fear.
time-contingent rightFourth Madam presides over "official careers" — career luck and outstanding performance.
YuhangThe Fifth Goddess presides over "making things come true"—inspiring wisdom and guiding toward goodness, blessing children with intelligence.
MizarSixth Madame specializes in "health and well-being" — harmonizing body and mind, ensuring the safety of mothers and the joy of children.
YaoguangThe Seventh Maiden specializes in "destiny"—fostering good affinities widely, achieving complete blessings and wisdom.
