⛩️ Temple Explanation ｜ Lord Wan Shan

Master Wan-Shan was originally a herd boy. Due to his impoverished family background, he often grazed cattle on Kanglang Mountain and practiced meditation in this auspicious geomantic sanctuary. One day, while meditating, he passed away peacefully without illness, and through this favorable terrain attained the Tao and became a deity, commonly revered by the people as "Child Lord."

During the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty, the Five Lords of Wang Yeh took a liking to the geography of Kanglang Mountain and wanted to build a temple there. The Child Deity (Gian-a-kong) used a copper needle buried during his lifetime as proof, while the Five Lords used a copper coin as evidence, and the two sides disputed without resolution. When the Earth God excavated the ground, the copper needle was surprisingly and precisely stuck in the hole of the copper coin, leading to a fierce battle between the divine troops of both sides. Later, through the mediation of Guanyin Buddha, they agreed to build both a large temple and a small temple, and established a pact that believers visiting the large temple must also worship at the small temple, thereby sharing the mortal world's incense offerings for ten thousand years.

Lord Wanshan is widely renowned for his mighty reputation, bold and commanding personality, and miraculous divine efficacy in saving all beings. He is especially skilled in helping people accumulate wealth, strongly blessing them with smooth career development and boundless financial success. He is a must-worship deity for devout believers seeking to advance their careers and thrive in business and trade.
