Lord Wanshan

Ten Thousand Virtues Lord

Seeking wealth. Born on the 24th day of the 8th lunar month.
Lord Wànshàn was originally a shepherd boy. Due to his family's poverty, he usually grazed his flock in this area of Kānglán Mountain. The shepherd boy discovered a place with excellent feng shui among the bushes on Kānglán Mountain and would meditate there whenever he had the time. One day, he passed away peacefully while meditating. Later, the shepherd boy, benefiting from this auspicious location, attained divinity and became known as "Grandfather Child."
During the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty, the **Five Lords of the Prefecture** (五府千歲) took a liking to the geography of Kuanglang Mountain, wishing to establish themselves there to help the world. However, the **Child Spirit** (囝仔公) was already stationed there. The Child Spirit declared, "I buried a copper needle here during my lifetime to claim this feng shui, so you may not occupy it." The Five Lords of the Prefecture countered, "When we came to Taiwan, we also buried a copper coin as proof." With the argument unresolved, they asked the **Earth God** (土地公) to dig and find the evidence. Upon digging, they discovered the copper needle was precisely inserted into the copper coin.
From this point on, battles ensued. Later, Guanyin Buddha was invited to mediate. The Five Prefectures Thousand Sages built a great temple, and at the same time, a small temple was erected for Jianzai Gong. Worshippers visiting the great temple would also visit the small temple, sharing in the popular incense offerings. Lord Wanshan's reputation spread far and wide. His heroic and dominant personality, his ability to aid the world, and his divine and efficacious spirit are particularly known for "wealth assistance." He can help businesses flourish. Those seeking prosperity in their careers absolutely must worship him!
